Week 7 comes to an end

Well week 7 of 20 has come to end after today's run.  Week 8 is a test week for us.  We have a FTP and vDOT test coming.  Both make me drive heave but for some reason I am looking forward to them.  I am going to go out on a limb and call my inside FTP at 230 and my vDOT on treadmill at 48.  Lets see what happens.

Today's run netted me 21.1 miles at a ave pace of 9:15.  The route we do is very hilly and really zaps us but will have us ready for Jamaica.  The only thing we will not be ready for is the heat.  We fly in on Dec 2, get our race packets, eat an early dinner and then to bed.  The race starts at 0515 due to the severe humidity and heat.  We did it 2 years ago and loved it.  When you finish you get a beer and soak in the sea.

The week has been a great week.  I did all the biking and running in 2 days and actually felt really good.  I did Wednesdays run on Tuesday followed later in the day by Thursdays bike and all targets were hit.  The funny thing was this was after I did Tuesdays bike workout (2x20's) on Monday and this was after a huge leg day.  Confused yet.  ")

Well tomorrow might have to be a day off but I would still like to get Saturdays bike in.  We will see how the body feels tomorrow.

Our website with our charity info will be up and running very soon so please stay tuned.  Again we have team up with the ChildrensCancerConnection of Iowa: http://www.childrenscancerconnection.org/
Please take a moment and check it out.  We are out on the hunt for donations and sponsors.  If you would like or know someone or a business that would be interested please keep us in mind.  We will be putting our monetary sponsors on our T-shirts and Racing Jersey's.  We would like more than anything to have a jersey full of sponsors.

Well all until we meet again keep your head up and when you get knocked down remember to get back up and do it again.  Practice, practice, practice.  There is no such thing in my mind as being perfect but you can come pretty damn close.

Remember to keep your friends close and your enemy closer.  Its fun to watch them burn when their time comes and then you get to sit back and smile.
